Josh Groban Takes the Stage
Josh Groban, the man and voice behind “You Raise Me Up” is officially making his way to the Broadway stage for the first time in his life. Unfortunately fans of this talented young man won’t be able to see him act out his talents on stage until September, 2016. That is quite the distance away but none the less will provide what’ll surely be one of the best Broadway experiences of the year.
Groban has always stated that he’d love to be on Broadway & many times in the past he would make the effort to become connected to a project, unfortunately due to time issues he would have to back out of those projects. Luckily this will not be the case as the contracts have been signed, training is already slated to begin as on May, 2016. Josh is playing Pierre in “Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812”. For those whom might not know that play piece is a melodrama, seventy pages long about war and peace.
Right now Josh Groban is on a high like most talented singers never get to receive. His latest album “Stages” received a Grammy Award Nomination for the best traditional pop vocal album. This has sent him on a tour throughout the globe and once he finishes that tour he’ll instantly be hitting the stages to begin practicing for his first appearance on Broadway.
There is no information on when the previews or when the actual show date will be. What is known is that it’s being held at New York Broadway.
